Hello all,
As the first month of 2025 comes to a close, I wanted to share some accomplishments from this past month and what to expect from me in the future. For starters my Abstract was accepted into the Eastern Sociological Society Conference, (ESSC) in early March. My research pertained to how the personalization of algorithms tends to be more harmful to adolescents of a lower socioeconomic class. In the past I’ve done qualitative analysis of lower SES on health disparities, but more recently I’ve been very interested in technological discipline and how there are potential long-term cognitive harms. From its distorted perception of reality to increased anxiety, as a user of these platforms, this was a subject that I was deeply committed to. I don’t want to dispel to much information on my findings, but I’ll say that being able to support my passion projects and intertwine them with my master’s program is a feat unmatched.
I attended the NAACP state executive conference where the purpose was to promote new initiatives, collaborate within workshops, & continue to educate the youth and college division on the impact & future of the NAACP. It’s looking to be an exciting year advocating & I can’t wait to help my community.
Finally, I’ll be taking bigger steps towards branching outwardly with NextGenAIntelligence. We’ve recorded positive engagement and want to make our transition to a digital marketing platform as smooth as possible, with that being said be on the lookout for more content
On a side note, my book club met this past month and reviewed “Read people like a book,” by Patrick king. The premise of the book was to figure out the why & how when analyzing people in order to gain a better understanding of them. Taking information into a coherent theory rather than coming to conclusions on stereotypical behavior. Overall, it was a very engaging discussion, I’d say I was very surprised at the correlation between age & the enjoyment they received. It seemed that someone as young as me found a lot more of the concepts intriguing as I’m navigating parts of the book in my personal life now. The book received a rating of 8.5 from me.
To wrap up this short entry I want to say that it has been a great start to the new year & I’m planning on keeping the success of this month into next 11. As always thank you for staying in touch. Continue to follow me along this journey as I make a way for myself.
